As much as we wanted to hold our annual symposium face-to-face this year, we’ve made the decision to move the meeting in December 2021 to an online format given the uncertainties associated with COVID-19 at the time of the symposium.
Making this move now, provides some certainty to all of our OHA members, symposium attendees and presenters. It alleviates the future risk and stress for people potentially having to change travel plans at the last minute. It also offers the opportunity for people to attend who cannot travel to Wellington, including colleagues and collaborators based outside of New Zealand.
The OHA Symposium Organising Committee is currently investigating options for hosting regional hubs in locations around the country, similar to what we did in 2020, if Alert Levels allow. We will share more information about these venues in the near future.
