Early Career Researcher Representative

Dr Rose Collis is a Postdoctoral Scientist at AgResearch based at the Hopkirk Research Institute on the Massey University campus, Palmerston North.

Rose’s previous research focused on the zoonotic pathogen Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli, and investigating antimicrobial resistance on New Zealand dairy farms using culture-based and metagenomic sequencing methods. Rose’s current research areas include antimicrobial resistance, understanding E. coli populations and using next-generation sequencing methods for microbial water quality assessments, with a particular focus on identifying pathogens and antimicrobial resistance determinants.
